No Fear!

Last week, Pastor Jeff continued his series on Sharing Jesus Without Fear.  He explained how to prepare your bible for opportunities the Lord will give you to share about the gift of salvation in Jesus Christ.  If you missed the message and want to know more, click here March 16 message.

The seven scriptures that make sharing Jesus simple are:
  1. Romans 3:23  (all have sinned)
  2. Romans 6:23  (wages of sin is death)
  3. John 3:3         (must be born again)
  4. John 14:6       (Jesus is the way, the truth and the life)
  5. Romans 10:9  (believe in heart and confess with mouth)
  6. 2 Cor. 5:15    (Christ died that man may be saved)
  7. Rev. 3:20       (Jesus stands at the door and knocks)
By preparing ourselves and our Bibles we are adding a step of faith to the fast. As we fast and ask God to make our hearts more like His
we will begin to see those He has prepared to hear His message of life.

Don't feel like you have to make anything happen.  This is God's gig - He's just looking for players.

    Hi All
    I wanted to share about what I have experienced thru this fast. I have been on a journey to learn to trust my God a LOT more than I did but to also gain a greater knowledge of what trust really is and to experience peace in trusting and waiting. When I started the fast I wanted to draw closer to God and I wanted to hear the answers to the cries of my heart. Our GOD is so good as sat in prayer and I was sharing with God my heart I want to be closer I want to trust even more so I can be patient for answers to my cries, the Lord asked me Steve I want you to just crawl up into my lap let me LOVE you be still I know your struggling heart I know your cries just let me LOVE you and I will share with you. So I slowly did as my Father asked I have to be honest it was hard to just relax and be still. What I’ve asked to share is about my journey to working the prayer line for the Freedom retreat, when I signed up to be a part of that great time I just wanted to again be in the back and pray, nope Pastor Bob and God had bigger and better plans I was told that it was time to step up and out and be on the prayer line I told Pastor Bob I can’t I have no idea what I’m doing up there I have not had the training in that type of prayer the answer nope you be ok. So I was in battle with the enemy for weeks over this answer. As I was in my Fathers lap asking why? Again Steve just be still let me hold you trust me I’ll carry you I’ll put the people with you who will walk with you in this time. Again Nina to the rescue. As last Saturday approached I had it all planed out I’d get on the end I will let those veterans be right out front and I’ll be on the end where no one could see and watch me fail. Failure is something I don’t like to let people see PRIDE I was busted God and Nina walked me right out front dead center in front I even had the spotlight on me, busted the poser was busted. Again the voice of my Father are you going to crawl up in lap be still let me carry you while I’m holding you – will you trust me. Now I’ll be honest I was in and out of my Fathers lap I looked like a yo yo but my God carried me and Nina walked with me I survived!!! Both of these things he promised me and my GOD delivered.
    I want to close with this our Pastors are inviting and asking us will we step out will you be stretched will we have the heart for the lost as GOD has had for us will we crawl up in our Fathers lap and let him hold and Love us while he carries us thru something that is uncomfortable, to share the good news?
